Past Events

Operation Get Out, WEDU, Ski Dock, Mellow Johnny's, SRAM, Giant Bicycles, HEB, San Antonio Sports Foundation, Winter Garden Produce, and hundreds of volunteers built, transported, staged and embraced the children returning to school from the Robb Elementary community in August 2022 in Uvalde, Texas. Over 800 bicycles, helmets, locks, tubes, special needs trikes, art supplies, info kits, and stuffed animals were made available through endless volunteer support and donations.

There is nothing better than a bike to help children Get Out! Bikes are an inspiring tool for positive mental, physical and emotional wellness impact. The community of Tellico Plains, TN is the gateway for scenic mountain tours, yet nearly half of the community is living below poverty with similar percentages of obesity and low education attainment.

In the 2023 10th Annual Get Out Girl Surf and Paddle Jam, 115 women and girls of all ages took part in Surf Jam and over 220 in Paddle Jam. $75k was raised to help provide resources for military and first responders to Get Out for positive mental wellness impact. A huge shout out for the support of all the volunteers, donors and sponsors to get all of these women on the water for such an amazing cause!

Support Operation Get Out at Austin Marathon Weekend either as a runner or walker of the 5k, Half Marathon or Full Marathon.

The Austin Marathon Gives program connects non-profit organizations to passionate participants willing to raise awareness for nonprofit causes while contributing a portion of their race proceeds and a platform for additional fundraising for OpGetOut. As one of 26 charities selected for the Austin Marathon Gives initiative, OpGetOut will provide the energy, excitement and support 7a-12:30pm for an inspiring, fun morning serving others! Wear your favorite beach attire and Parrot Head hats!

OpGetOut is partnering with Hincapie Events and Centurion Boats for Expo and ride in Merced, CA, a true gravel cycling experience through the rolling hills and open grasslands of California’s Central valley. This epic adventure will take riders into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Celebrate your adventure afterwards at the family festival, with free food and beverage. Come visit us at the OpGetOut tent for the latest OGO gear!

Join OpGetOut May 18 for an on the water tribute and memorial honoring fallen first responders and military for Memorial May. In partnership with Carry The Load, Operation Get Out will host this meet up on the water at Auditorium Shores. Individuals, families and organizations are invited to attend and pay tribute any way they desire. Bring your own paddle equipment of choice or rent.

OpGetOut is a non-profit partner of Carry The Load. Each year Carry The Load works through a third-party committee to select non-profit partners that provide healing services for the mind, body, and soul of our warriors. What started as Carry The Load's mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day has grown to include more than just our military heroes and more than just the one holiday. Carry The Load works to bring all Americans together to participate in honoring our nation’s heroes every day.

Join OpGetOut at Margaritaville Resort on Lake Conroe for a day of wakesurfing, boating and lunch! Immersing in the science of Blue Mind, we know that being in, near or on the water can reduce cortisol, stress, heart rate, and blood pressure while increasing the good hormones to calm, relax and energize. Open to veterans, military, front line workers and first responders! This is a small group experience, so register soon!

11th Annual Get Out Girl Surf & Paddle Jam benefiting female first responders, front line workers, military and veterans in honor of Travis County female first responders Kristin McLain and Jessica Hollis. Wake Surf Saturday, Paddle Sunday or do both! This weekend is all about inspiring and empowering women and girls of all ages to Get Out, Get Active and Get Connected! This year is bittersweet as it is the tenth anniversary of Jessica Hollis' accident while protecting Travis County.

An all-inclusive weekend for first responders, military, veterans and front line workers. Music under the stars, great food, boating, wake surfing, paddling and more! Get Out, Get Away, and relax with us. This retreat is founded on the science that nature and water has profound mental, physical and emotional benefits for individuals dealing with stress, loss, illness, PTS, anxiety and depression.
